Center on Adherence and Self-Determination (CASD)

 

The Center on Adherence and Self-Determination (CASD) is funded by the National Institute of Mental Health and directed by Patrick Corrigan, Psy.D. of the Illinois Institute of Technology’s College of Psychology.  The funding for this center ended 2015.  The Center is based at the Illinois Institute of Technology with a collection of investigators at Yale University, the University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, Rutgers the State University, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.  The Center conducts research aimed at promoting choice and full engagement in services that help people with serious mental illnesses achieve their recovery goals.  The Center leads the field in the conceptualization, development, and dissemination of innovative research methods, analytic approaches, and interventions aimed at promoting self-determination and service participation.
